2000s



2009 ARM construct a Storm Flow Reed Bed at Burnham Market for Anglian Water.

2008 ARM install the 2nd largest reed bed in the UK for tertiary sewage treatment.  ARM installed a 16000m2 horizontal flow reed bed at Berkhamsted for Thames Water.

ARM Iberica formed.

2007 ARMs 60th Anniversary.

ARM conduct trials on Floating Reed Beds with Anglian Water.

ARM are awarded the renewal of the Maintenance contract for Severn Trent. The Aggregate Recycling Machine is first used on an Anglian Water site, and for the refurbishment of Severn Trent reed beds.

ARM continue to pioneer reed beds for non sewage applications by installing a horizontal reed bed for copper removal from distillery waste water in Dufftown.

2006 Development and trials of the Aggregate Recycling Machine. Trials begin on several Severn Trent sites.

2005 ARM become a joint framework contractor with Reeds from Seeds to Severn Trent for the supply and planting of reeds.

ARM install BAF unit to treat wastewater from a turkey processing unit.

ARM awarded a grant for a DTI-KTP scheme, (Knowledge Transfer Partnership) with Harper Adams University for the development of a means of recycling material when refurbishing reed beds.

ARM design and construct reed beds for Scottish Water.

ARM enter into a cooperation agreement with the Northern Ireland Reed Bed Company (NIRBC)

2004 ARMs continued committment to R&D by becoming involved in a three year research project with Birmingham University and the Silsoe Research Institute treating dairy farm dirty water.

ARM begin trials on primary reed beds.

ARM produce a prototype mechanical reed seedling planter.

 2003 ARM contracted to Severn Trent to survey their reed beds and provide a maintenance service. The maintenance of reed beds would become an ongoing activity resulting in the Fields Services division of ARM Ltd.

ARM design and construct the 3rd largest reed bed in the UK to treat tertiary sewage at Walton for  Anglian Water Ltd.

ARM purchased the expertise, jigs and fixtures for manufacturing floating reed beds.

ARM form a joint venture with Danish company, Orbicon, to exploit the market for using reed beds to treat sludge in the UK.

2002 ARM have constructed over 350 reed beds. Ranging in size from 10m2 to 20,000m2.

2001 ARM refurbish a number of reed beds to extend the life of the reed bed and improve performance for Some of Severn Trents reed beds

2000 
ARM begin trials on Sludge Treatment Reed Bed Systems. A new development in downflow reed beds for sludge treatment is trialled by ARM. 

ARM become founder members of the Constructed Wetland Association
