1990s




1999
 ARM awarded a customer care merit award by Southern Water for its design and construction of  a sewage treatment works at Willow Wood on the south coast of the Isle of Wight.

1998  ARM took on the tenancy of a small unit on the Rydal Estate to manufacture steelwork for the reed bed activity.

1996 ARM design and construct the largest reed bed in the UK for tertiary sewage treatment. A 20,000 square metre reed bed system for Southern Water Services Ltd was installed at Redgate Mill near Tunbridge Wells.  The system provides tertiary treatment for the town of Crowborough which has a population of 25,000 people.

1995 First reed bed for Severn Trent Water Ltd. ARM designed and constructed its first reed bed for Severn Trent Water Ltd at Holly Green – a small village in Worcestershire.

1992
ARM Buildings Ltd was sold to Hydor Ltd of Downton near Salisbury.

1991 First reed bed for Southern Water Services. ARM design and construct its first reed bed at the small village of Redlynch in Hampshire for water company, Southern Water Services to treat sewage.

ARM begin trials on Tidal Flow reed beds. At the beginning of the new millennium the company started trials at Rugeley on a new mode of operation of downflow reed beds, namely tidal flow.
 
1990 ARM redefines its objectives and focuses towards waste water treatment specialising in the use of reed bed/ wetland systems. The company was pioneering the application of new reed bed technology, and there was considerable commercial potential for what was a niche, but nonetheless expanding market.  Other applications for the technology were being developed most notably for the final treatment of sewage by Severn Trent Water.
