Company history

1950s


 
1959    The company was run from offices on the ground floor of Newhouse, Colton Road and manufacturing was carried out in the courtyard buildings until 1986.

1958 The company carried out manufacturing in a building at Dairy Farm, Admaston and was run from an office above the District Bank in Uttoxeter.
 
1953
The Cutter Loader won a gold medal in the Royal Welsh Show of 1953.

1952
A Kale Divider was developed by ARM, this was fitted onto the rear of a tractor.

1950 
The Cutter Loader was developed to provide a mechanical way of cropping grass for the grass drying operation. The grass drying operating was transferred to Drointon Farms Ltd, and ARM concentrated on the agricultural engineering aspects of the business. ARM begin designing and developing a number of tractor hitches and drawbars, starting with a Fordson Draw Bar.
