Company history

1940s


 
1947 The partnership was converted in to a Limited Company, Agricultural Requisites and Mechanizations Ltd. The company occupied custom built premises at Upper Farm, Drointon.

   
1946 An elevator was developed by the partnership which could be adjusted vertically to deliver solid materials such as straw, hay, farm yard manure,  sugar beet, corn sheaths, bales, etc.

1945
The partnership designed a baler needle used for threading string through the straw as it was being compressed into bales. The string held the individual bales together when compression ceased.

1940
ARM Ltd’s origins go back to the 1940s when the newly-formed company operated as agricultural contractors. A. H. Cooper and Sons was a partnership created for an agricultural contracting enterprise, primarily threshing and grass cutting.
