About Us
ARM Ltd is a privately owned company
which began trading in 1947 as agricultural engineers. Operating from its head office in Rugeley, Staffordshire, ARM has been committed to
the development and application of natural wastewater treatment systems
using reed beds and constructed wetland technology since the 1980s.
Alongside the development of reed bed technology, ARM has invested in client support services at the pre-contract,
implementation and after-sales stages of a project.
We offer a comprehensive service to our clients
covering consultancy, design, project management, construction and
aftercare. We are a founder member of the Constructed Wetland
Association and have ISO 9001-2000 and ISO 14001 accreditation and UVDB
Verify Certification.
Underpinning our comprehensive range of services is our
continuous programme of product and application development. This work
is reported regularly by ARM staff and associates in published papers
at international wetland conferences and journals.
Staff at ARM come from a variety of backgrounds including engineering, biology, geology, design, project management, waste management, and environmental management, culminating in widespread in-house experience and expertise specialising in the water industry.
Our client base is extensive both in terms of the range
of applications and the size of the installations. ARM have designed and constructed more than 400 reed
bed systems providing wastewater treatment for a whole range of
applications including
- Domestic and Municipal sewage
- Industrial Process Water
- Landfill Leachate
- Vegetable Wash Water
- Surface Water Run Off
- Distillery Wastewater
- Minewater Drainage
We continue to pioneer new and innovative ideas. Recent developments include aggregate recycling to reduce landfill cost and material usage, trialling alternative reed bed configurations to improve performance in contaminant removal and expanded our asset management and refurbishment services.
